Kayseri Big City Council’s “Ağırnas Explorers” Project Explored by Students

Under the leadership of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and with the support of the City Council, students experienced the history, nature, and cultural richness of the Koramaz Valley through the “Ağırnas Explorers” project.

According to a written statement from the Metropolitan Municipality, the Koramaz Valley and its museum hosted middle school students as part of the “Ağırnas Explorers” project.

Led by Prof. Dr. Osman Özsoy and coordinated by Dr. Mevlidiye Yılmaz, the certificate program within the project was completed with the students of Ağırnas Osman Yücel Middle School.

During the program, young explorers explored the historical, cultural, and natural beauties of the Koramaz Valley while preserving the legacy of Mimar Sinan.

The program included architectural introductions, museum visits, local culture workshops, as well as activities such as carving stone and making rose oil.

The certificate ceremony of the program was attended by Melikgazi District Governor Sedat Sırrı Arısoy, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Şükrü Dursun, District Gendarmerie Commander Cuma Kavak, District National Education Branch Director Cuma Doğan, Kayseri City Council President Ahmet Serdar Altuntuğ, along with academicians and educators.
